Germany's Goin Down
Hey bro, Germans aint got nothin on Britain yo. They be wack, you aint even know wasssup cause we bout to wooop yall like yesssssir.
December 8th 1916
Today our armoured tank broke down and we had to repair it in the middle of combat. I can only think of coming home to Great Britain and being far away from fighting. I hate that our country has entered this war but I understand why. If only the Germans hadn't invaded Belgium! For goodness sake, the Belgians are neutral! They don't want any part of this war. Not to mention Germany waged war on our French allies .. We of course had to help them. This all started when that Archduke of BlahBlahBlah got assassinated. He should have just left the poor Slavs alone and let them nationalize.
And Germany got outraged but it wasn't even their Archduke! I hate the Germans they need to mind their own business. I can only hope this war will be over soon so I can go home to Maverick (: December 15th 1916
This week our troops have been alerted that the German's are instituting a new plan of attack called the Schlieffen plan. This includes invading neutral Belgium, and fighting France, then heading over to Russia to avoid a two-front war. But fortunately we'll be able to intervene before Germany has a chance to crush our French allies. We're also planning to dig trenches this week, some of them are to be over 8 feet tall! What a sight! This propaganda poster made me is what convinced me to join the war. The patriotic symbol of John Bull wearing our nation's flag as a shirt brought out the passion I have for my country. I simply couldn't wait to go to the front and fight for my country!
Another thing that deeply excites me is the US entering the war. They have proven to have a strong military and are fighting on the Allied side. I really hope this breaks the stalemate and helps us win the war! December 25th 1917
This has been quite a dreadful holiday for the Britain's soldiers. We have had small rations of food since the German U-boats have attacked all our supply ships. Our troops haven't tasted a good cup of coffee or a warm sip of tea in what seems like forever. I miss being home on cold nights like these. Hopefully, I'll be home by next Christmas :( January 5th 1918
I am very happy to hear about the Treaty of Versailles. German should take fully responsibility for the war since they did in fact start it. I am only frightened that they will hold a grudge. Germans are like that. Britain needs the reparations that Germany should be prepared to pay. I've also received word from my mother that my brother-in-law Dan, has passed during the war. I should hope that the German's plan to pay pensions to my sister and his family for their loss. The British government estimates Germany's total cost of reparations at about $30 billion. I believe our French allies are also going to recover some land by the names of Alsace and Lorraine. I believe this is the first good news I've heard throughout these past couple years. I should be home by Easter! April 16th 1918
I'm so glad I've returned home. I was greeted by my entire family and got a firm handshake or kiss from everyone in town. It's like I'm a hero since I served in my country's army. Maverick was glad to see me! I missed everyone at home so much and can't wait to sit down and have some warm fish and chips. Finally, I can relax and not worry about being fired at or having to spend the night in a trench. The war is over, HOORAY!
